F-16 Tactical Training Center: four-ship tactical training
How the ArenaLogic F-16 Tactical Training Center trains four pilots as one team: networked pilot stations, realistic sensors and weapons, reactive constructive opposition, Link 16 LVC integration and team debrief with decision-point replay.

Train as a team
A successful 4-ship mission depends on more than individual flying skills. It depends on four pilots who can communicate, make decisions and support each other under pressure. The ArenaLogic F-16 Tactical Training Center brings that team into one shared battlespace.
Level 2: tactical proficiency
The centre develops tactical proficiency through four networked pilot stations. In ArenaLogic’s training framework, Level 2 focuses on the individual pilot: employing the aircraft, managing sensors and weapons, and making effective decisions from fence-in to fence-out.
Realism that affects decisions
Tactical realism goes beyond operating a display. Detection limits, delays and uncertain information influence what a pilot sees and when they act. Realistic aircraft, sensor and weapon behaviour helps crews practise the timing and judgement that tactical employment demands.
Opposition that reacts
Constructive fighters and ground-based air defences create a contested battlespace. Instructors set the scenario, control threats and adjust their behaviour during execution. Four pilots must assess the changing picture, coordinate their response and adapt together, with challenges matched to the training objective.
Level 3: train together
Level 3 brings the team together. 4-ship tactics, mutual support, communication and mission leadership become a shared exercise. Integration with real ground controllers and other training systems extends that teamwork, drawing on ArenaLogic’s experience in multinational exercises such as Spartan Warrior.
Extend into live, virtual and constructive training
The next step connects the simulated battlespace to live training. With the appropriate Link 16 and radio integration, virtual pilots, live aircraft and constructive forces can join the same exercise. This expands the training challenge while making more use of the assets already available.
Replay the decision
After the sortie, debrief the mission as a team. Instructors can also mark a key decision point and return to that situation for another attempt. Compare different approaches while the lesson is fresh, turning each exercise into focused, repeatable tactical learning.
Proven training technology
ArenaLogic technology supports 27 simulators across eight simulation centres. A shared software platform allows experience from the user community to inform continued development. Bring four pilots together. Challenge the team. Build readiness through practice. ArenaLogic. 4-ship tactical training, connected.
