Full LVC integration with live range infrastructure. Live emitters, surrogate threats, simulators, and constructive forces—unified under one authoritative picture with realistic sensor physics and weapon effects.

Air Combat Arena

LVC framework for fighter training — live-to-synthetic handoff, White Cell control, live emitters, dual Red/Blue Link 16 and physics-based weapon flyout.

Mission-Ready Training Across Live, Virtual & Constructive

Full LVC integration with live range infrastructure. Live emitters, surrogate threats, simulators, and constructive forces—unified under one authoritative picture with realistic sensor physics and weapon effects.

One Coherent Battle, Live to Synthetic

Most LVC programmes connect networks and call it done. The Arena keeps every participant — live, virtual, or constructive — in one battle that holds up from the first plan to the final debrief.

Live-to-Synthetic Handoff

A live jet merges onto a constructive track and back with no visible seam — the contact the trainee tracked stays one object, even as its driver changes.

Two-Sided Tactical Picture

Independent Red and Blue Link 16 networks with correct symbology each side — force-on-force without exposing either side to privileged truth data.

Live Emitters, One Stands for Many

Operational RF stimulation through the trainee's own equipment — and a few physical emitters present a full threat laydown, driven by the same scenario as the constructive forces.

Mission-Ready Weapons

Each missile flies on its own configurable, physics-based model, so kill assessment in a mixed live-and-synthetic fight holds up under debrief.

One Evidence Record

Every track, shot, and call on one synchronised timeline — the debrief argues from evidence, not recollection.

Built-in Cross-Domain Assurance

A controlled security boundary designed into the product — standalone, one-way, or controlled two-way, with an audit trail.

Three Pillars and an Assurance Spine

Every capability a credible LVC programme needs — three pillars carrying the value, on a built-in assurance foundation.

The Networked Training Foundation is the complete training system — plan, brief, run, and debrief one mission on one shared picture, with constructive forces and weapons that count. The White Cell adds role-shaped battlestations so each operator owns their piece of the fight. Live & Constructive Integration brings live aircraft, ranges, and emitters into the same fight. And Built-in Assurance runs underneath it all — security, identity, time, and monitoring baked into every decision. Select a pillar or the foundation to browse its modules.

Per-Weapon Physics, Credible Kill Assessment

Every missile and weapon flies on its own advanced, physics-based model — air-launched, surface-to-air, or from a live jet — and each is fully configurable, so a shot in a mixed live-and-synthetic fight is adjudicated correctly and holds up under debrief.

Tuned to the right performance parameters, kill assessment is accurate to a classified level — the fidelity a credible adjudication and debrief demand — while those sensitive specifics stay on your accredited side, not in our software.

OTI Architecture: War Room / White Cell

The Air Combat Arena connects all training participants—live aircraft, virtual simulators, constructive forces, and physical emitters—through a single authoritative hub. Multi-site networked operations, mission planning integration, and synchronised replay debrief — on open COTS architecture.

Range Control for LVC Training

Physical RF emitters provide realistic RWR/ESM stimulation for F-35 and other platforms. Live emitters and constructive threat sites are fused into one battle position on one picture — one operator runs the whole threat as a single coherent IADS, instead of watching three separate scopes — with real-time status and engagement management.

Mission Profiles

The Arena is built for the fights that are hard to rehearse any other way — too many threats, too few live red assets, and roles that have to integrate in one coherent battle. These are some of the missions it trains — from a single GCI controller cell to a full multi-site exercise.

Cruise Missile Defence

Hold a Mission Fail Line against a wave-saturation raid of cruise missiles and one-way-attack drones, timed to arrive faster than the defence can clear them. Constructive forces generate the density, while live, virtual and constructive fighters fight alongside a layered ground-based air-defence belt — a few live assets standing in for a full defence under White Cell control.

SEAD / Wild Weasel

Push a strike package through a layered integrated air defence with operational RF cues on its own equipment. The Arena runs the threat constructively and drives a handful of physical emitters as one battle position on one picture — one emitter handing off site to site to stand in for a whole belt — with every cue, reaction and SEAD shot captured for evidence-backed debrief.

Force-on-Force LVC

Run a demanding force-on-force day with only a few live jets backed by dense synthetic opposition. Each live jet merges onto the constructive track it joined — inheriting its number, identity and position — with an independent datalink picture per side, no privileged truth data exposed, and live shots in the shared picture, all on one authoritative clock.

Distributed Multi-Site

Federate two training centres and a live range into one exercise — one shared tactical picture, one shared clock, one shared debrief — across a classified/unclassified boundary. Data filtering keeps each link clean, the cross-domain posture stays explicit at every step, and the range joins as a full participant commanded across the boundary.

GCI Controller Cell

Train intercept controllers against a realistic, reactive air picture — the smallest useful deployment, the Foundation on its own. Constructive red air reacts to blue while controllers detect, identify, commit and run the intercept on a live datalink picture, then review it from the record. The natural place to start before growing into the full Arena.

One Mission, Plan to Debrief

A controlled mission moves through four phases — and it is the same plan the whole way. What you brief is what runs, and what runs is what the debrief measures, with no rebuild at any handoff.

Plan

Design the mission once — order of battle, threat laydown, routes, formations, injects and objectives — authored from the true picture and saved to reuse.

Brief

Brief from the very mission you will fly, on one authoritative picture, with readiness checks across every connected live, virtual and constructive system before push.

Execute

Run it under one mission clock — constructive forces, live assets and the White Cell driving a reactive fight, with every track, call and shot recorded as it happens.

Debrief

Reconstruct from recorded evidence on one timeline — shots validated, objectives graded — then feed the lessons straight back into the next plan.

Multi-Platform LVC Integration

F-35 Lightning II

F-16 Fighting Falcon

Other Platforms

Debrief from recorded evidence: every live, virtual, and constructive entity on one synchronised timeline, with shot validation, weapon flyout, effects, and datalink events available for review. TTP and training-objective validation are grounded in the recorded run.

The training problem

An F-35 mission is about to begin. The aircraft, the range, the controllers and the threat equipment are real. But the training problem may demand more aircraft, more threats and more coordination than those assets alone can provide.

Live, virtual and constructive in one controlled mission

Air Combat Arena connects what an air force already has to what it needs to train against. Live aircraft, simulator crews and computer-generated forces become participants in one controlled mission.

Plan and brief from one scenario

The White Cell builds the scenario, assigns the assets and defines the training objectives. Crews and controllers brief from that same plan. Everyone knows the mission they are about to run, and the decisions they will review afterwards.

A richer tactical problem

During the exercise, physical emitters can work alongside constructive threats. Virtual aircraft add participants, while computer-generated opposition reacts as the fight develops. The result is a richer tactical problem built around the range equipment and flying hours already available.

Control the exercise from the White Cell

From the White Cell, operators follow one shared picture. They coordinate live aircraft, ground controllers, simulated crews and range assets; adjust the opposition; and keep the exercise focused on its training objectives. Radio and Link 16 integration connect the mission to the systems crews use operationally.

Across sites and fleets

The Arena can bring participants across sites into the same exercise. F-35 and F-16 training can be supported, with other fleets integrated to suit the deployment. What matters is that each participant has the right view of one coordinated fight.

Debrief the decisive moments together

When the mission ends, the team can return to the decisive moments together. Tracks, calls and engagements are reviewed against the recorded exercise, even when the participants are in different rooms. The debrief turns a complex mission into lessons for the next one.

Available today

Air Combat Arena builds on years of ArenaLogic experience in operational live, virtual and constructive training. It is available today, ready to help air forces get more training value from the aircraft, people and infrastructure they already have.
